It's another goodbye. In times like these, I really appreciate whatever was done for me.
As you walk towards your deathbed, you slowly bid goodbye to the people around you. The moment you stepped into this world, you are already predestined to die. It's just a matter of how long your path is.

It was Granny's birthday yesterday and I was looking forward to see her. She was in all smiles and I couldn't help laughing at how happy she was. She looked fabulous with her red traditional Chinese buttoned shirt and little beaded nonya-liked bag and bedroom slippers. Her white hair was neatly combed and styled, just like a young chic.
When the 9-course buffet came, I was ecstatic! The spread was awesome. We had birthday buns to birthday noodles to suckling pig to herb chicken and even mutton curry! Dessert was yam paste. I couldn't wait for all to be present and start dinner! :D
You know you are lucky and fortunate when a family of 4 generations gather together to celebrate their mother's / grandma's / great- grandma's birthday. I was waiting for the group picture. It's like a family tradition where we gather together for occasions and celebrate as one big family.
It hurts when 1 family member is terminally ill and all you can do is to see your loved one float away. As he grew thinner and thinner each day, our hearts break wider and wider each day. I could see those lumps on his forehead. It's scary yet heartbreaking.
This might be his very last occasion with us. We ate the best food that he bought (He paid for the buffet dinner) and yet he was lying in one corner in his room eating porridge, vomiting out whatever went in. It hurts. It really do.
I'm fine. I have come to terms with it and have accepted that he will leave me one day. As you grow older, these things are inevitable and you have to go through it. Life goes on the way it should be. Your heart will mend itself as time goes by. We grow up for a reason, to think, to learn and to mature.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL. I have not really set any resolutions for 2010 yet! :D
